Chrysalis wins Terra Nova art competition.......AGAIN
Alice Barber was judged the outright overall winner out of over 600 paintings at this year's Terra Nova Art Competition. Chrysalis children entered 19 pictures. Here's what the judges had to say about Alices fantastic painting:
"A wonderful interpretation of old MacDonald's farm. A well balanced composition and good use of colour, (green, red, blue and orange work beautifully with each other) and an image which is very nicely dispersed and arranged within the frame of the painting. We like the farmer very much - old MacDonald dressed in his red wellington boots and green jacket herding the animals on his farm. A very strong and exciting picture, a worthy winner!"
We know it can be daunting to choose a nursery for your child and understand the anxiety this decision can bring as you can be leaving your child in someone else's care for the first time. Foodsafe Platinum Award 2010
Our chef has done it aain this year and been awarded a 5 star award for food standards as well as being commended for the variety of her menus!
Stockley Farm Trip
We had a lovely trip to Stockley Farm on the 6th July.
Heuristic Play Centre
We are happy to introduce out new Heuristic Play Centre. This can be found in the corridor outside Cocoons. There are pump bags, boxes and baskets full of treasure for anyone to explore.
Race for Life
Lots of ladies from Chrysalis entered a team into the Race for Life at Tatton Park this year. 15 girls (plus two daughters, Mary and Holly) ran and walked to raise money to help beat cancer.
