Welcome to Chrysalis Day Nursery

A very warm welcome to our website.

We know it can be daunting to choose a nursery for your child and understand the anxiety this decision can bring as you can be leaving your child in someone else's care for the first time. We provide the highest standard of child care and education. We provide a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and to interact with others. Many of the pages here are written with this in mind and aim to provide you with information that will help you to make that decision.

The site will also give you a view into the daily life at the Nursery, the care, happiness and dedication our staff bring to their roles in your child's daily play, learning and development.

For those parents who already have children at our Nursery, these pages will also help to inform you on current and future activities.

Terra Nova Art Competition 2012 Winners .......... Again!

The Terra Nova Art Competition is open to all children aged 2-4 in Cheshire and over 600 children entered the competition. This year the theme was the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle (a story which is very close to our hearts at Chrysalis!!!!). We were delighted when Big Butterfly Naomi Litton was announced as the Overall Winner of the whole competition – Well Done Naomi!!!. Big Butterflies Grace Murray and Clara Sheard were also ‘Highly Commended’ for their entries.

We are Outstanding!!!

Dear Parents

After a visit from OFSTED on Monday 8th August, we are pleased to inform you that Chrysalis Day Nursery has been declared an “Outstanding Day Nursery” in all areas.

Please read the report, it is in the private "Parents Page" (you can navigate there using the menu on the right hand side of the screen). if anyone would like a hard copy, please do not hesitate to ask in the office.

Having read the report we would welcome your comments, but meanwhile, I am sure that you would like to join Mike and I in thanking all the staff for their unerring support, hard work and dedication to the nursery.

We are planning various celebrations for both the staff and children in the near future.

Baby Signing
At Chrysalis we believe that using baby signs with the pre-verbal children within our setting develops early language skills and encourages communication.

Isaac's Mummy

Little Caterpillar Isaac is very proud of his Mummy as she is taking part in the Great North Run in September. Natalie will be running in memory of her nephew who was born prematurely and sadly passed away in January 2012. All money raised will go to Tommy’s if anyone would like to sponsor her please click here.
