Kathy
My name is Kathy and I am one of the owners of Chrysalis Day Nursery. I am a qualified teacher with 25 years experience. I previously held the position of Head of Infants in a large state primary school in Tameside. Owning my own day nursery is a dream come true for me and I love getting up to go to work in the morning! I set very high standards in the care and education that we provide for our children. I work hard towards creating an atmosphere which is happy, friendly and stimulating for both children and the staff.
Mike
My name is Mike and as Kathy's husband of 22 years, I am the other owner of Chrysalis Day Nursery. My particular background is in nursing and social work. This experience is comprised of 8 years nursing and 14 years as a manager for Social Services. I am also commited to creating an environment which is safe, exciting and professionally run. The combination of my management experience and Kathy's educational background enables us to complement and support each other in achieving our aims. We pride ourselves on striving to attain in reality the standards and goals set out in all of our written documentation.
We both work "hands on" in the nursery and we make ourselves permanently available to staff and parents. We consider ourselves to be pro-active in creating a child-care setting which has a happy balance of being a family run business and a professional establishment.
