our nursery

 

We are very proud of our nursery and its facilities.

Our building is purpose built. It is located on the Gadbrook Business Park on the south side of Northwich. Accessed from the A556 dual carriageway, the location is very convenient for parents working around the area. The Nursery itself is at the back of the park on a cul-de-sac. Consequently, there is very little passing traffic.

The Nursery has been recently extended. We have built a brand new baby unit specifically to our own design. It incorporates an open plan feeling along with closed and homely rooms. There is a particular little garden area in which the babies and their ladies can peacefully enjoy fresh air every day.

The extension has created further space for the older children too. They have rooms for play, rest and "work" in small or large groups depending on the plans for the day.

 

 

The Gardens

"Outside Play" is an essential part of the nursery day at Chrysalis. All children are encouraged to go outside for at least some of the time every day. It is only very inclement weather that keeps us indoors!

We have extensive, attractive garden areas. The children can play in absolute safety. A solid six-foot perimeter fence surrounds the whole of the exterior. This creates three, secure, enclosed play areas.

 

The children have a wide variety of opportunities. There is a mini-assault course, a playhouse, a vegetable garden, a living willow tunnel, climbing equipment, riding equipment, places to sit and think, places to run and hide!

All the children help to garden. We plant bulbs, seeds, herbs and vegetables according to the seasons. We enjoy picking fruit in our ever-developing orchard. The staff and children at Chrysalis value outside play and know how to make the most of fun outside!
