Little Butterflies are aged two to three. The main aim is for our children to be safe, happy and stimulated.

Children at this age are going through a crucial stage of language development, so everything is geared towards helping them to increase their vocabulary and also to express themselves. The children and staff just love playing with a variety of items in sometimes unusual contexts. We like to extend their play in ways that stimulate the imagination and encourage the development of concepts and understanding.

For example we might play with cut up fruit in the water tray that has just been filled with orange juice; or we might have a selection of toy insects, old logs and compost in the sand tray; or we might let the children make their own sandwiches, making choices from a collection of fillings..... the list is endless!
