NDNA Awards 2011 - A note to parents:
Thank you to all those people who have completed our Parent and Child Questionnaires. We have received some very interesting responses! This is part of an on-going self-evaluation process that we carry out in anticipation of an OFSTED inspection. Many of the suggestions we received already take place in nursery on a day to day basis, but we are in the process of putting a hopscotch grid in the Big Butterfly garden and we are going to grow a grapevine with the children, and put a swing in the Cocoon/Little Butterfly garden. If you haven't already seen the feedback from the questionaire it is in the main entrance hall. Thankyou to all the children and parents for your wonderful comments - all positive!
Thank you also to the parents who nominated members of staff and also the nursery for the N.D.N.A. Nursery Awards 2011. On this occasion there was a huge response across the UK and we were not actually selected - better luck next time! The comments have been shared with the staff and it was a very positive exercise and uplifting to know how high we stand in your regard.

We are happy to introduce out new Heuristic Play Centre. This can be found in the corridor outside Cocoons. There are pump bags, boxes and baskets full of treasure for anyone to explore.
Our Fantastic New Field
We are so lucky to have been able to develop our already extensive outside area. We have cleared the area behind the fence, moved it back and turfed it so that there is a lovely big field where the children can run and play to their hearts content. We have had so much fun already on this area – we had a super full, nursery picnic and a super sports day!
The Chrysalis Stone
You may have noticed our 30,000 year old holed stone taking pride of place in our garden when you have come to drop off or pick up your children at Nursery.
It was donated to nursery by the Lawes family. They first joined the nursery nearly twelve years ago when Kathy and Mike first bought the nursery. At that time Becky, their eldest daughter was a little baby. As Becky left to go to school they brought Harriet, her little sister! It was a sad day when Harriet left to go to school, but this lovely stone reminds us of those wonderful girls every day!! Thank you to them all.
You can learn about the source of the stone by visiting www.timecircles.co.uk.
Our Tree in Bloom
Our Chrysalis Tree has been in place for a few years now and we have kept a record of its development over the seasons.
The slide show gives an indication of the different ways in which its lights up our garden throughout the year.
