As well as this Carol has been awarded the '5 stars on the doors' for 2010 by the Environmental Health Inspector (also achieved in 2009 - see lower down the news page) The inspector said that Carol had a well managed and documented food safety management system with an interesting imaginative menu.
What a star - Well done Carol!

Race for Life

Lots of ladies from Chrysalis entered as a team into the Race for Life at Tatton Park this year. 15 girls (plus two daughters, Mary and Holly) ran and walked to raise money to help beat cancer.

We hope to raise lots of money for this worth while cause - please contribute as much as you can - we are having a joint sponsor form in nursery.

You can still donate to this very worthwhile charity through our donation page at http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/chrysalis

Heuristic Play Centre

We are happy to introduce out new Heuristic Play Centre. This can be found in the corridor outside Cocoons. There are pump bags, boxes and baskets full of treasure for anyone to explore.

Platinum Food Safe Award 2008 2009

We knew our chef Carol was wonderful but now thanks to her efforts the Nursery has been awarded a platinum Food Safe certificate for outstanding food hygene and storage care.

Our Fantastic New Field

We are so lucky to have been able to develop our already extensive outside area. We have cleared the area behind the fence, moved it back and turfed it so that there is a lovely big field where the children can run and play to their hearts content. We have had so much fun already on this area – we had a super full, nursery picnic and a super sports day!

The Chrysalis Stone

You may have noticed our 30,000 year old holed stone taking pride of place in our garden when you have come to drop off or pick up your children at Nursery.

It was donated to nursery by the Lawes family. They first joined the nursery nearly twelve years ago when Kathy and Mike first bought the nursery. At that time Becky, their eldest daughter was a little baby. As Becky left to go to school they brought Harriet, her little sister! It was a sad day when Harriet left to go to school, but this lovely stone reminds us of those wonderful girls every day!! Thank you to them all.

You can learn about the source of the stone by visiting www.timecircles.co.uk.

Our Tree in Bloom

Our Chrysalis Tree has been in place for a few years now and we have kept a record of its development over the seasons.

The slide show gives an indication of the different ways in which its lights up our garden throughout the year.
