Our Sports Day

We have four broad main aims around which the Nursery is based. These are:

1. To provide child care of the highest quality

2. For the children in our care to be happy, secure and stimulated to a level appropriate to their stage of development.

3. For the staff to provide opportunities and activities which will encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of each child.

4. For the staff, children and parents to work in a 3-way partnership which involves mutual respect and consultation.

We have further information in our handbook which we will be delighted to provide when you visit the Nursery.

 

The Early Years Foundation Stage

 

The Early Years Foundation Stage became mandatory on 1st September 2008 in all early years settings. The EYFS will ensure that all under fives in childcare benefit from a safe, secure and happy environment where they can play and develop. As an Early Years provider, we are taking steps to ensure that Chrysalis meets the Learning and Development requirements and also to make sure that we comply with the welfare requirements. The DCSF has publishes a guide to the Early Years Foundation Stage which explains the new framework. This is a free guide, 'It's Child's Play', and it stresses the importance of play and explains what parents can expect from the EYFS. Parents can order or download a free copy from -
